Having an injury is tough, you will go through many ups and downs during your recovery period. One day things can be feeling well, you are moving towards your goals pain free, then the next day you have pain with a seemingly simple task, your progress feels thwarted and limited, you feel like you are going downhill in your recovery trajectory. These ups and downs are normal and natural, you will experience these as a non injured individual, when you are injured its the same stuff just turned up to volume 11. This is why its important to focus and emphasize on the small progressions, the things you may take for granted that aren’t a given. The day you have pain free range of motion, is not the day you lament you can’t perform complex lifts, take your moments of gratitude for the progressions you have when they arrive.
