A healing process

The process of healing is a multifactorial one. Beyond the actual structural injury, the body part and the extent of the damage, a patient and therapist must consider many many factors to recovery. These factors include previous injury experience, what activities the individual wishes to return to, what there general health practices are, do they have support, how can they cope, how can they modify their activities, how much time can they allocate to rehabilitation exercises at home. The list is extensive, its important for your therapist to consider the many dimensions of the client, a detailed history is important and developing a strong rapport and understanding of the individual during the healing process is even more so.
