Taper
Tapering is widely employed in endurance sport and is commonly utilized in other sports with various forms of volume regulation. The whole point of the taper is to reduce volume, reduce the strain on the body’s energy production systems and then to return to the activity with a fresh system ready to go. This should be done more often in aspects of out daily lives. Taking time off of our chosen activities and vocations , allowing for recuperation to return with higher levels of output. We all need to taper from time to time.
