Always pack a picnic blanket
My wife and I have learned to always pack a picnic blanket when we leave the house. It seemed a bit silly at first, then slowly it became a habit. Having the blanket allowed us to set up a spot for lunch and relaxation with our kids we are out and about, it gave a chance for us to set a base to return to from play. In short it opened a lot of opportunity to explore play and recreation as a family. This simple little blanket has come to enable us to participate in a healthy outdoor activity any time we are outside.
This had me thinking about an equivalent in the physical rehabilitation and performance space. What simple things , and I really mean simple things, do you have at your disposal to enable healthy behaviour? Is it a mat, or a roller, time to recover with your headphones and podcast? The idea is that we do have a large number of things that are available to us, we just need to be in the right environment to use them. Just like a blanket is only a blanket with out the park, when its in the right place it allows for a lot healthy enjoyment.
